A Power BI visualisation isn't loading
This is sometimes due to capacity limits. Try again shortly; if it persists, contact support.
"Fields that need to be fixed" / "This field was deleted from the model"
Symptoms: visuals render blank with "Something's wrong with one or more fields" or "…one or more filters" and a Fix this button; the error details show Missing_References; in the field well the same date field appears several times stacked (e.g. three entries of Order Date) each with a warning tooltip "This field was deleted from the model and can't be used in this visual."
Cause: the report is referencing Power BI's automatic date table, which has been removed from the dataset (it produced poorly named date columns). The repeated entries are the levels of the old auto-date hierarchy. The underlying date columns — Order Date, Prescription Date, Discharged Date and similar — still exist in the model.
Fix, in the report:
Click Fix this on the affected visual, and keep clicking until the messages stop — each click clears one dead reference, so several passes are normal.
Drag the date fields back onto the axes, and re-apply any affected filters, from the field list.
Notes:
KPI cards and measures (revenue totals, counts) usually still render correctly — it is the date-axis visuals that go blank, so "revenue is missing" is normally the charts, not the measures.
Support cannot do this on the customer's behalf, because the slicers, filters and layout of a customised report are specific to how they built it.
If errors persist afterwards, ask for the Activity ID and time from the error details and pass to the Tech Team.
